I Know What It Feels Like When Your Body Stops Cooperating
I've been coaching for nearly 20 years. But the turning point in my career didn't come from a certification or a textbook. It came from my own body breaking down.
At my strongest, I was squatting close to 400 pounds. Then knee pain arrived and I couldn't make it go away. Within a short time, I couldn't squat 75 pounds without significant discomfort. I was frustrated, confused, and not sure what to do. I had seen a physical therapist to no avail. I was stuck with a problem and had to find my own solution.
"That frustration changed everything. It pushed me to understand not just how to train — but why bodies hurt, and how to help them heal."
That experience led me into a much deeper study of biomechanics, pain science, movement quality, recovery, nutrition, and what it actually means to coach someone long-term. My focus shifted from training hard to helping people move and feel better for the rest of their lives.
Today, that's exactly what Gameday Fitness is built around. Not intensity for its own sake. Not quick fixes. A thoughtful, structured process that meets you where you are and builds from there.
